Physiotherapy and sports injury clinics
Clear physiotherapy website design that helps patients take the next step
Physiotherapy website design should help a patient in pain recognise their problem, trust your clinic and book an assessment quickly. The difference with my sites is that each condition page targets what patients actually search, such as "physio for back pain" plus your town, a method I bring from my SEO work. You get a clean, affordable website with HCPC registration shown clearly, insurers listed and online booking a tap away.

The patient's mindset
Patients arrive in pain, and slightly worried it will not get better.
"Is this the right place?"
They want to see their exact problem named: running knee, sciatica, frozen shoulder. Recognition builds confidence fast.
"Will it actually help?"
Explain your approach honestly: assessment, a plan, hands-on treatment where it helps, and exercises that fit their life.
"How soon can I be seen?"
Show real availability through online booking. Waiting lists elsewhere are often why people look for private physio.
Site structure
Built around conditions, not just treatments
Patients search for what hurts. So the site starts there, then explains how you treat it.
Condition pages
Back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, knee and hip problems, post-operative rehab. Symptoms, common causes, how you help and when to book.
Treatment pages
Manual therapy, exercise rehab, acupuncture or shockwave, explained without jargon, with what a session involves.
Your clinicians
Photos, specialisms and qualifications, so patients can pick someone who works with runners, older adults or post-surgery recovery.
First appointment
How long it lasts, what to wear, what the assessment involves and what happens after. Removes a surprising amount of worry.
Prices and insurers
Assessment and follow-up fees, and the insurers you are recognised by, with a note on authorisation codes.
Trust signals
Clinical credibility, shown simply
- HCPC registrationThe title "physiotherapist" is protected. Say every clinician is registered and link to the register.
- Professional membershipChartered Society of Physiotherapy membership, and any specialist memberships.
- Recognised by insurersA tidy list of the insurers who recognise your clinic.
- Outcomes, honestlyPatient stories about getting back to running or sleeping through the night, with permission and without miracle claims.
- A real clinicPhotos of your treatment rooms, parking and access information.
Local search
From "physio near me" to a booked assessment
Patients search locally and specifically: "sports physio Nottingham", "physio for runner's knee", "back pain physio near me". Condition pages, a consistent Google Business Profile and reviews that mention real problems help your clinic appear for those searches.
I build the pages with clear titles, descriptions and structured data, keep them fast on phones and link your online booking throughout. It is my usual SEO-ready structure, organised the way patients think.
Before you commission a site
Three physio website habits worth breaking
Leading with the equipment
Shockwave machines and treatment tables impress other clinicians. Patients care about getting back to normal. Lead with outcomes and put the kit further down.
One page for every body part
A thin page for "wrist", "elbow" and "ankle" each says little. Better to write fewer, fuller condition pages based on the problems you see most.
Hiding the price of an assessment
Patients comparing clinics want to know the cost of the first appointment. Showing it confidently usually increases bookings rather than scaring people off.

Should I have a page for every condition I treat?
For your most common ones, yes. Back pain, knee injuries, running injuries and post-operative rehab are all separate searches with different worries behind them. A focused page for each helps patients recognise their problem and helps you rank for it.
How do I show I am properly registered?
State that your physiotherapists are registered with the HCPC, which protects the title "physiotherapist" in the UK, and mention CSP membership if you hold it. A link to the HCPC register lets patients check for themselves.
Can patients book online through the website?
Yes. If you use a practice system such as Cliniko, Jane, Semble or WriteUpp, I link or embed its online booking so patients can choose a clinician, appointment type and time.
Should I list the insurers I work with?
Definitely. Patients with private cover often search for a physio their insurer recognises. A clear list, with a note on how to get authorisation, removes a common reason to hesitate.
How much does a physiotherapy website cost?
From £590 for a Starter Website, £1,250 for a Business Website with condition and treatment pages, and £1,750 for Website + Visibility with local SEO. Quotes never creep upwards.
